Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Security Bank completing a technology upgrade?

Security Bank wants to continue to offer the most up-to-date products and services to our customers as well as maximize operational efficiencies. The core conversion is a major step in accomplishing both goals.

Will my account numbers stay the same?

Yes, all account numbers will remain the same.

Will I have access to my funds during the upgrade?

We planned the conversion over the weekend of August 19 to minimize the impact on you, while offering complete access to your funds. While, you may continue to use your current debit card during the conversion weekend and have access to funds by ATM, we encourage you to carry an alternative form of payment, e.g., cash, credit card or checks, in case we experience an unplanned disruption of service.

May I continue to use my current debit card and Security Bank checks?

Yes. You may continue to use your current debit card and write checks from your current stock throughout conversion and thereafter. You will not need a new debit card or new checks.

How does the system conversion affect online banking and bill payment?

Our online banking and digital services for personal and business accounts will be suspended at 5 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022. Access will be restored at 9 a.m. Monday, August 22.

During the weekend, the following services may not be available: online banking, bill pay, mobile banking, mobile deposit, Zelle®, text banking, ACH, remote deposit capture, positive pay and wire transfers.

If you use bill pay, your payee information will be saved and available after conversion. Any scheduled and recurring payments will convert to the system, but we suggest you confirm payments after conversion, in case of an unforeseen error.

Your online banking login and password will remain the same. You will be prompted to enter a one-time authentication code when you log in for the first time after conversion. You will have the option to receive your authentication code by text message or request the system to do a voice call. If you elect a voice call, your online banking will display a code that you will have to say on the phone to complete your authentication process.

If you use QuickBooks or other accounting software, or if you will need to access transaction history or eStatements prior to the upgrade, you will need to download or print the information before 5:00 p.m. August 19, 2022. After the upgrade, online transaction history will have a start date of August 22, 2022.

Will my current direct deposits and automatic drafts be affected?

Since your account number is not changing, all current direct deposits or automatic drafts will continue to be processed normally.

What will happen with my bank statements?

In August, expect to receive multiple account statements, due to the technology upgrade. In addition to your regularly scheduled statement, all statement accounts (checking and savings) will receive a statement as of August 19, 2022.

If you have an interest-bearing checking or savings account, your interest earnings will be split between the two statements.

If you have a Bonus Checking account, you will automatically earn the highest tier of interest earnings on balances up to $50,000 for the month of August only, regardless if qualifications are met. Details about your specific account type will be mailed to you directly. If you have questions or concerns regarding your statement, please call us at 918.664.6100.

All account statement cycles are changing to month end, except Bonus Checking accounts. Going forward, you will receive only one statement issued at the end of each month. Bonus Checking statements will continue to process on the 25th of each month. The look of your statement and notices are changing with the upgrade. However, they will still contain the same information.

Will my loans be affected?

Commercial loan accounts will not be affected by the conversion. Consumer loan accounts, after conversion, will stop using coupon payment books and begin to receive monthly notices.

The Security Automated Telephone Line is changing. How does this affect me?

With the upgrade, our automated telephone banking service is changing to a new toll-free number. Beginning August 22, our new toll-free phone number is 1-833-998-4599.

Telephone banking will be unavailable from 5 p.m. Friday, August 19 until 9 a.m. Monday, August 22 as we upgrade our system.

For added security, when you access your account using our telephone service, you’ll be asked to enter an electronic ID number instead of your account number. To receive your electronic ID number, you will need to call us at 918.664.6100 during normal business hours after August 22.

You can access more banking capabilities at your fingers using our secure 24/7 online and mobile banking services. Not only can you view balances and transactions, you can move money between accounts, make bill payments, access cash flow, retirement and savings calculators and more. Enrollment is easy. Enroll online or call us at 918-664-6100 and we’ll be happy to set you up. Once enrolled in online banking, you’ll have the option to enroll in additional digital services, such as mobile and text banking.
